- contact NYU or Columbia.they offer both.....they have course descriptions...........
- To be a lawyer, you will need a bachelors degree which usually takes 4 years full time and then you will need a juris doctor degree which will take another three years full time. You can major in biology in undergraduate and then specialize in tort and health law when you get to law school and you will probably do fine but if you really want to know your stuff, you could go to medical school for an additional 4 years and get an MD. Med school is 4 years but to become physician you also have to spend a few years in your specialized area in a residency before you become a doctor who can practice on your own. I'm in law school right now and I found my most beneficial undergraduate courses were writing and philosophy (specifically logic) classes. But if you want to do medical malpractice some biology would help so you understand the medical stuff better. Going to medical school and law school will probably cost you at least a quarter million so I would just pick one. And you will be done sooner too.
