medical malpractice or just gross??
OK, I has a cyst drained from the back of my leg in 2005. It was deep ( the size of a pinky finger, as wide and deep ) The hospital had homecare nurses come to my house to dress and pack the wound (ribbon packing). I was told it healed OK. I was infected mid 2006, and I had a CT scan to see if there was a fistula into my bones. No fistula and everything checked out OK. BUT..... Last night I felt something hard where the scar is, and ending up pulling out about 6 inches of packing! it was black and fossilized and smelled bad. I'm seeing my GP in the morning to see if I'm incubating anything else in there. Should I contact a lawyer and sue the nursing company? or forget about it?

- sue
- serious malpratice. you could def. sue.
- if i were u i wud make big bank from this..
- If there was dressing left in the cyst wound, that can and will be considered negligence causing bodily harm. You should contact the business first, and a lawyer immediately afterwards. There is a probability of infection because of this malpractice, and should be treated as a legal issue of significant concern. Dr. James Jeah MD
- That sounds like malpractice to me.
- helz yea that terrible!
- omg, get ahold of a lawyer! the doctors should have seen that in there!! sue the crap out of them, you could have gotten really ill from an infection in your body due to a foreign object!
- yes, you need a lawyer. Thank goodness you are aware of your health issues, otherwise it could have become septic and caused a major infection. As it is, you probably have lost tissue due to that twits incompetence. good luck !
