What are plaintiffs awarded if a Doctor is found guilty of Medical Malpractice?
Also what is the minimum and maximum time that a doctor has lost their license due to medical malpractice?

- the award is monetary. i dont know the answer to your other question but i guess the minimum time is no time as doctors do not necessarily lose their license if charged with malpractice
- some can lose it for ever, the award may be in the millions, but usually only about ten percent of the award gets paid to the patient who was harmed or killed. sad isnt it.
- It depends for what you are suing g the Doctor for. Killing a patient, amputating the wrong leg or arm, or giving the wrong medication, and so on and so. As far a loosing his license he might or might not, it all depends on what kind of medical malpractice we are talking about.
- This is a difficult question to answer. Regarding the malpractice, it depends on what the doc has done or hasn't done and if you can PROVE that it was malpractice. This could be a very costly process. You need a lawyer. As far as the length of time his license could be revoked.... depends on what he did and if the Medical Board believes removal or suspension of a license is warranted. Again, you should consult an attorney
