When we get Universal Health Care, how will that affect medical malpractice lawsuits?

- Well, give that Hillary seems to want to do many of the things that Hitler did, I hope she wouldn't have the doctors shot when they mess up. I already am concerned that she might want Hannity and Rush shot. But, maybe I'm far too paranoid about this. Hillary seems to hate the Constitution when things arise that show her failures/weaknesses. But, in other countries far too many people die before they get a chance to see a doctor. Does Hillary think that would be good for our families?
- If, as some are suggesting, the system be modeled after the Military medical system, there will be no malpractice. Soldiers cannot sue the govt for medical malpractice.
- There will not be any Medical Malpractice Suits. Medical professionals will be de facto government employees that are protected from such law suits. That and in many cases you would die before you got to see a Dr., anyway because their office would be filled with people that had the sniffels. Why not go to the Dr it will be "free"
- Wow, if there won't be any malpractice suits, there are a lot of ambulance chaser lawyers that are going to be out of work. Guess every black cloud has a silver lining somewhere...
- Good question. We can only look to the other 1st world countries that already have Universal Health Care, England, Germany, Canada, France, well I guess all the 1st world countries besides us.... and I think they have fewer malpractice lawsuits than we do.
- Edwards would be out of a job.
- The question isn't about HEALTH CARE, the question is HEALTH INSURANCE. The doctors and hospitals will stay exactly as they are now as will the liability laws that currently are on the books. The only difference is that there will be a 'single-payer' that will make certain that doctors and hospitals will be paid in full and on time.
- Current Medicare and Medicaid malpractice suits would form a comparable basis for a review, rather than speculating about a universal health care system that would involve a single government payer, which is not a current proposal by any leading presidential candidate.
- when you get Universal Healthcare the clinic on the moon will be beyond the scope of the judicial system
