What do I have to know about getting a medical license in California?

My dad is thinking about relocating to California. He's currently licensed in Ohio and has practiced there for over 30 years. He's a foreign medical grad who is double board certified in addiction and emergency medicine. Beyond what's on the California State Medical Board site, is there anything he needs to know? Are there reputable attorneys who can assist him?

1. He should have no problem getting a CA license since he is already board certified, particularly if he is current with all of his CEUs and has had no disciplinary actions against him.
